The second season for the M3 Lions Hockey team has started perfectly, with wins over Cal Lutheran and Park University.
In the home opener, the Lions hosted Cal Lutheran and secured the first shut-out in M3 LMU Lions history, as Colton Marcy stopped every attempt throughout the game. The Lions offense put home five goals, with freshman Peter Caloyeras scoring his first two ACHA goals, Billy Kurzius also notched his first ACHA goal, and sophomores Hudson Brown and Dylan Slaysman each scored to give the Lions the 5-0 victory.
In the next game, the Lions took down Park University 5-2. The Lion’s Zach Freedman scored twice in the opening minutes, and the Lions never trailed in the game. Freshmen, Joseph Oxenreider and Marc Baldwin each scored their first goals of their career, and Caloyeras extended points lead by notching his third goal of the season.
The Lions return to action on 10/5 against local rival CSU Long Beach.
